Very large scale intelligent graph computing research center visited Hangzhou Steel Cloud Computing Data Center for research and communication purposes

  In order to further deepen the cooperation between the university and enterprises and jointly apply for the construction of a Zhejiang provincial engineering research center, on the morning of March 15, Executive Vice-Dean Wu Minghui of the School of Computer and Computing Science led a team of five people from the Very large scale intelligent graph computing research center to visit and investigate Hangzhou Steel Cloud Computing Data Center.

  Chairman Fan Yongqiang of Hangzhou Steel Cloud Computing Data Center welcomed the group from the Very large scale intelligent graph computing research center of the School of Computer and Computing Science and provided an introduction to the basic situation, industry advantages, and digitization of the company.  

  In recent years, in accordance with national strategic deployment and regional economic development requirements, Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group has relied on its own advantageous conditions and successfully completed industrial transformation and upgrading, establishing the Hangzhou Hanggang Cloud Computing Data Center platform. Positioning itself as a "digital infrastructure builder, digital security empowerer, and digital application pioneer," and taking "digital industrialization, industrial digitization, and governance digitization" as its main working line, Hanggang actively constructs a digital economic ecosystem, and its industrial structure has initially taken shape. In the future, Hangzhou Hanggang Cloud Computing Data Center will strive to build a national-level super-large data center, national-level supercomputing center, and provincial-level digital technology innovation and application demonstration base. It will promote the integration of industry and urban development in the Hanggang Half-mountain Base and provide Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group's models and Zhejiang's experience for the transformation and upgrading of urban steel plants nationwide.


  Executive Vice-Dean Wu Minghui of the School of Computer and Computing Science expressed gratitude to Hangzhou Hanggang Cloud Computing Data Center Co., Ltd. for their strong support in this research work and hoped that this visit could lead to deep cooperation for the joint construction of the Zhejiang provincial engineering research center. Professor Song Mingli, the director of the Research Center for High-Performance Intelligent Computing of Ultra-Large-Scale Graph Data, introduced the basic situation of the center and wanted to learn about the company's relevant business in urban security, and discuss cooperation for the joint construction of the Zhejiang provincial engineering research center.

  Fan Yongqiang stated that Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group has a good foundation for early-stage cooperation with the university, and they are very willing to participate in the joint declaration and construction of the Zhejiang provincial engineering research center. In the future, both parties are willing to carry out comprehensive cooperation. They agreed to continue to strengthen communication and reach a strategic cooperation agreement.
